Accommodation:

Quinta dos Três Rios
If you are travelling to the North of Portugal, we stayed with an English couple, Hugh and Jane, at their B&B, Quinta dos Três Rios. This is a beautiful place and we thoroughly enjoyed staying there, and it is just over an hour from Porto.

If you like splendid views of the setting sun from a deck overlooking the beautiful Atlantic coast, then consider staying with Colin and Liz, near Ericeira, who do both B&B and Villa rental - beautiful.

Old Barn in Historic Old Amersham
Looking to stay in the Chilton's in the UK on a self catering basis then have a look at the Old Barn in Historic Old Amersham carefully and enthusiastically looked after by Gilli and John Harrison. The Pubs in the town are historic and have good beer and there are good links to London via Amersham Station.

Sundance Bear Lodge
We met Bob and Susan Scott when they came to stay at the Quinta. They own Sundance Bear Lodge Bed and Breakfast and Cabin Rental which is located in Mancos, Colorado USA. If you are heading that way, you should visit them

Transportation:

We have had good reviews about Economy Car Hire who meet guests in the Arrival Lounge instead of having to contend with Queues and Courtesy Coaches.

Do you have an interest in a guided walk through the World Heritage Sintra Hills with its varied flora and forests and which will take you to many places you are unlikely to find on your own? Lunch can be arranged en route. For details E-mail Vasco, who is a Master of Arms and usually wears Suits of Armour - not for walking though!
